DESCRIPTION:

The Business Analyst will support CBS Television Stations in modernization, efficiency, and innovation initiatives. This person will identify, interpret, and define business needs and features; translate them into requirements; and lead the process to visualize, document, and communicate functional product solutions used to design, build, and test the system. This role will report to the Principal Analyst and VP of Enterprise Solution Delivery.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed requirement specifications, functional specifications, use case and work-flow diagrams and manage the requirements throughout the project lifecycle


* Meet operational deadlines in a demanding fast-paced environment and capable of working independently as well as in a team


* Partner with Principal Analyst and Solution Delivery Executive (SDE) to brainstorm business modernization and innovation initiatives to meet industry and divisional challenges.


* Own deliverables during end to end project lifecycle


* Perform metric-driven analysis to recognize and implement both project and business improvements.


* Prepare training materials appropriate for target audiences and developed solution and conduct training sessions


* Work closely with development and engineering teams throughout project lifecycles


* Identify and resolve problems prior to impacting projects by monitoring delivery pipeline. Escalates important issues to the attention of the projects lead(s) to make prompt decisions.


* Perform root cause analysis, and understand and enforce policies and procedures


* Conducts reviews of and analyzes business and information technology processes and prepares essential groundwork for the development of systems.


* Provides analysis of processes and workflows with suggestions for improvement. Identifies areas where technology can lead to increased efficiency and productivity.


* Assist with gap analysis, business process redesign, roadmap planning and developing proof-of-concepts



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

* 2+ years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst Role


* Experience in at least one SDLC Methodology: Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall.


* Experience eliciting high-level business requirements and creating detailed functional specs as well as other documentation like requirement traceability matrixes and work-flow diagrams


* Experience in Software Testing: writing test cases, executing test cases, defect management, and working with development teams to facilitate effective defect analysis.


* Strong analytical skills to assess business challenges and design potential solutions


* Strong ability to effectively handle challenges and provide solutions to management


* Experience in a consulting environment with demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, creativity and innovation


* Excellent self-starter and ability to handle project challenges


* Ability to plan and prioritize multiple simultaneous work streams


* Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation/organizational skills.

* Experience working with a major ERP system a plus


* Preferred technical experience with one or more of the following:


* Salesforce; Google Cloud Platform / Amazon Web Services


* SAP ; Appian / Pegasystems


* Undergraduate degree required
