DESCRIPTION:

The Sales & Marketing Internship is a deep and immersive experience in the latest cutting-edge strategies for Marketing and Selling Digital Media, with the goal of building long-term partnerships with the major brands in North America in an age of enormous disruption. The Sales and Marketing Intern will be responsible for supporting the sales/marketing teams in planning, executing and monitoring the online advertising programs of CBS Interactive's core customer base. This individual will work with designated Sales and Marketing Teams to ensure flawless campaign planning and execution as well as provide optimal client service support for assigned Advertisers and Agencies. The intern will assist the Sales and Marketing Teams in numerous daily functions, including: strategy on approaching partner brands, crafting client-focused product solutions, building client partnerships, preparing sales proposals and client presentations, collecting and presenting research information, advertising creative deadlines, and tracking impression delivery. Additionally, our Intern will work with clients to optimize the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Work closely with the Marketing Team to craft client-focused products across our diverse family of premium content brands including: Entertainment, News, Tech, Sports, and Games


* Work with Marketing and Sales teams and other departments to assist in the creation of client proposals, presentations, and media plans


* Attend Sales Calls with Sales Team to assess and understand client needs and goals


* Attend internal strategy sessions with Marketing and Sales Management


* Work with our research and analytics team, to craft media plans targeted at the appropriate audiences


* Assist in the implementation of creative and tagging for advertising campaigns


* Monitor campaigns to ensure campaign delivery, and make optimization recommendations



Logistics:

* Time commitment: part-time, 20 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team


* This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines



QUALIFICATIONS:

* Excellent written communication skills


* Deadline focused


* Proficient at using the Google Suite



Additional Requirements:

* Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university


* Must be at least 18 years old
