Job Description

CBRE Affordable Housing is seeking a growth-oriented student to join us as a Financial Analyst Intern to provide support for a highly experienced investment real estate brokerage group. The intern will learn from and support the group's current Financial Analysts and agents in researching and valuing multifamily investment properties. Our objective is to find a candidate with solid communication and financial analysis skills, along with a passion or interest for real estate.

DESCRIPTION

Provide support to the Underwriting team, including but not limited to, analyzing the financial aspects of multiple multifamily housing properties to identify and/or analyze business opportunities.

Provide detailed submarket knowledge and perform market analysis on different real estate markets.

Conduct research and market analysis to support Underwriting team valuations.

Understand, interpret, and identify inconsistencies and opportunities in the information obtained or received.

Gather available market research and other data for business intelligence and supporting analysis.

Other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

A passionate, can-do attitude with good interpersonal and written communication skills.

Aptitude and skills for analyzing data and reporting findings.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and take ownership and accountability of completing projects/tasks on committed timeframes.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a four-year university program.

All majors will be considered but majors in Economics, Accounting or Finance and/or Real Estate background are preferred.

Must be able to commit to at least year-long internship.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically Microsoft Excel. Tableau experience is a plus.

Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.

Ability to meet deadlines by working independently and with a team.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Previous job experience working in an office setting preferred, but not required.
