Job Description

The Laboratory Information System (LIS) Analyst will be responsible for the operation of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) while establishing optimal workflows and efficiencies, to include management of the LIS database, troubleshooting of the LIS, development of LIS procedures/policies, training, and serve as liaison with other hospital areas and Medical Staff as pertaining to the LIS operation.

Education:

* College degree required. BS in Laboratory Sciences or Information Technology preferred

Experience:

* Willingness to actively participate in a large complex project. Several years clinical experience in the hospital laboratory setting required. Experience with using clinical laboratory applications. Statistical knowledge and experience desirable. Ability to interact with clinical staff at all levels in a health care organization. Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, Powerpoint, and Crystal Reports a plus.

Licensure/Certifications:

* ASCP Certification
