About Cascade Union Elementary

The Cascade Union Elementary School District serves over 1,700 students in Anderson and the surrounding area. We are extremely proud of ongoing efforts for improvement and continual raising of expectation for our students. CUESD is committed to serving all of its students so that each child may fully benefit from rich academic and social programs offered throughout the district. A few of those programs include: bilingual, special education, home school/independent study, academic tutoring, before and after school programs, Saturday School, professional nurses and counselors, fully trained Staff for special needs students as well as advanced academic preparation for our gifted and talented children. In addition, we are extremely proud of our support services: technology, transportation, cafeteria, maintenance, instructional aides and clerical staff make up a team that is continually looking for ways to support and improve the programs we offer. We will face some unique challenges during the 2006 - 2007 school year. We continue to look to alternative education options for many of our students needing special help. Our newly adopted promotion/retention policy will hold students accountable for standards from kindergarten through eighth grade. The integration of technology throughout our instructional program will be extremely important in order to prepare students for future learning. As superintendent, I am extremely proud of CUESD and the dedication of its staff in meeting the diverse needs of our student population. It is well recognized that your help as a parent or community member in the educating of our youth is extremely important.
