Position Summary
This position will be an entry level member of a small team dedicated to the systems analysis, development and process improvements using our global ERP system (QAD MFG/Pro). The position is located at our Beaverton, Oregon manufacturing site and reports to the IT Applications Manager. This position will contribute to Cascade Microtech's success through our core systems by assisting in the documentation, analysis, development and continuous improvement of global business processes as well as applying, or learning structured and object oriented programming languages to provide software solutions.

Essential Functions
Document the custom functionality of the ERP system, preparation and distribution of reports, data analysis and the implementation of user-defined program components.
Provide systems analysis and build process understanding of the Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Fulfillment processes within a global operation. Work with other analysts and business users to develop, document, and configure standard functionality in our key systems. It will be necessary to develop reports, data extracts, or custom programs to meet business requirements. Support Cascade department managers and key users by assisting in the analysis, development and continuous improvement of global business processes.
Become the IT subject matter expert in one or more application areas such as Order Fulfillment, Manufacturing Planning and Control, BI, SharePoint, etc.
Support the business managers and key users on the basis of system analysis for the steady development and continuous improvement of global business processes. Provide front line support for the IT applications help desk system. Review and translate help desk tickets from user requests to technical specifications required for developing software solutions. Provide business systems analysis including requirements analysis & documentation, ERP system capability mapping, test case development, global process alignment, data integrity validation for our key business functions. Create user and technical documentation of new and existing functionality and demonstrate features through user training sessions. Drive software validation and User Acceptance Testing in accordance with the development lifecycle Provide project management as required to drive successful initiatives in a complex, integrated, multi-site business environment. Partner with key business stakeholders to blend business acumen with systems capabilities to enable company to build competitive advantage.
Provide Progress 4GL structured programming, SQL, and C++ object oriented programming languages in support of the IT Applications Development Team and Business Process owners.

Minimum Qualifications
A four-year college degree from an accredited university or the equivalent experience is needed.
APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification is a strong plus.
Requires 1-3 + years of experience in an analyst role for a global, multi-site, manufacturing company and 1-3+ years' experience working as an analyst/developer with a major ERP system Multi-site, global experience is preferred

Technical Skills and Knowledge
Ability to understand complex data models and business processes to develop custom queries / reports in support of the generation of key operational metrics. Demonstrated ability, or aptitude to learn traditional structured and object oriented software solutions in C++, Progress, SQL, or other industry standard programming languages. Demonstrated expertise in process mapping and understanding the systems / data impact of process / data changes across a complex, integrated environment. Strong capability in systems data integration and process management preferred. Must be hands-on, detailed oriented and have the ability to quickly adapt to changes and new ideas, as well as be an agent for change. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and/or orally, both in one-on-one and group presentation situations. Demonstrated aptitude to communicate effectively with the global IT team. Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with the ability to move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking. Requires the ability and agility to blend business acumen with systems capabilities to enable company to build competitive advantage. Must have the ability to focus on crisp execution and delivery on near-term and long-term goals, projects, process improvement initiatives, and tactical operational activities.

Physical Requirements
Standard professional office setting. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Environmental Considerations
May have extended work hours to communicate, plan and execute with the global IT team.
May require extended work hours to complete special projects and meet operational demands.
