APPLICATIONS ENGINEER (Entry-level)

This entry level position provides technical support to the customer and sales channel to exceed customer expectations and increase sales. This position partners with the sales channel or works directly with the customer to assist in design and installation of production wafer probe solutions with signal applications from DC to microwave. Product and application training to users of our products in the field is a key function of this position.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provides pre and post-sales support to customers and the sales channel via phone, email or on-site.
* Assists in solving applications challenges of handling, probing, and measuring electrical parameters of semiconductor devices.
* Performs product and application training seminars for customers and sales channels.
* Makes recommendations regarding product improvement, new products and quality.
* Writes and documents applications via Applications Notes, Briefs and White Papers.
* Provides input on business trends and new product opportunities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS REQUIRED

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics. Preference will be given to candidates with Master's degree or additional training/education.
* Practical training and/or experience in RF/Microwave and DC measurements.
* Computer literate, with experience using design and layout software.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and with individuals of various degrees of technical knowledge and ability.
