Job Description

 

Supports Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.  Performs a variety of highly skilled technical procedures in the application of diagnostic ultrasound for the imaging of normal and abnormal structures of the human body.  Provides care and services to patients of all ages.  Must be able to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education:  High school graduate or equivalent.  Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent experience. 

Experience:  Two (2) years or more. 

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:  Registered sonographer through ARDMS or CCI.  BLS required.

Other Minimum Qualifications:  Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
