Job Description

Position will monitor, analyze and manage raw material inventory and finished goods shipping based on GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety regulations, internal quality specifications and production needs. Requires good understanding of both quality and manufacturing practices. Will require in depth knowledge of Warehouse Management ASCTrac software with the ability to enter, track, troubleshoot and extract data related to raw material receiving, finished goods shipping and warehoused product inventory levels. Will provide additional administrative support of procurement functions such as PO entry and ordering of raw materials and supplies. Position will support site security in alignment with food biosecurity responsibilities. Supports Diamond V's commitment to product quality, product safety and regulatory compliance by following written and routine standard operating procedures.

Principal Accountabilities

* 25% - Raw Material Receiving and Quality Assurance - Collection and review of incoming raw material documentation; Initiation of receiving protocol in ASCTrac system; Collection and analysis of samples using Quality Assurance operating procedures; Determination of raw material acceptance or rejection based on analytical results, Raw material and finished product retain sample management according to food safety and GMP requirements.
* 25% - Shipping Finished Goods - Preparation of shipping documents through ASCTrac; Documentation of critical shipping information (including scale weights); Communication of traffic routes to drivers; Maintenance of food biosecurity protocols including application and documentation of truck seals.
* 20% - Procurement - Creation of purchase orders; Assist in ordering raw materials, supplies and packaging; Assist in supplier approval and document control processes; Maintenance of item master in ASCTrac software.
* 15% - Inventory Control - Review end of day documentation; Invoice approval; Maintain landed costs; Investigate and resolve any receiving or inventory issues; Assist with nightly, weekly, monthly and year end inventories.
* 10% - Administrative Tasks - General administrative tasks as they relate to inventory, procurement, shipping, receiving and security; Knowledge of raw material, work in progress and finished product tracking procedures in the ASCTrac system.
* 5% - Security - Monitor video display units for both facilities with regard to property and product security.

Required Qualifications

* A two-year college degree or High School Diploma completed and 2 years of experience in a related field.
* Ability to lift/carry 20lbs regularly and up to 55 lbs. occasionally.
* Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day
* Walking in varied terrain
* Strong computer skills (including excel) and ability to learn various software platforms
* Attention to detail
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, and work effectively. Must be a self-starter.
* Moderate mental concentration is required to meet deadlines and work effectively under frequent time pressures and with frequent interruptions.
* Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business information.
* Required to work overtime, evening, weekend and holiday work. Position will be required to provide PTO coverage to other Inventory Control Analysts.
* Ability to work in outside environmental conditions of extreme cold or heat multiple times a day.
* Speaking, hearing, reading, writing, and bending/stooping are regularly required.
* Duties require close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
* Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System)
* Inventory control/purchasing experience.
* Quality Assurance experience.
