Job Description

The Lancaster region Facility Manager provides the strategic leadership to create a safe, results oriented culture of accountability in which employees are actively engaged in the success of the business. The Facility Manager leads all aspects of the Cocoa and Chocolate North America Mount Joy and Lititz, PA sites (Lancaster region) which includes cocoa liquor and chocolate production execution, production efficiency, quality management, customer deliverables, packaging and warehousing, and maintenance. This position is a member of the Business Senior Management Team and as the only member on site is responsible for bringing business strategy and values alive in the facility. The Lancaster region Facility Manager is responsible for the location's compliance with Cargill, federal, state, and local regulations; internal controls; consistent implementation of corporate/local policies and procedures; implementation of corporate and BU strategy; coordination of functional initiatives; strategy development for the improvement of the facility's competitive position; community and local customer/supplier relationships.

35% Strategic Leadership: Align corporate, functional, and BU strategies to develop and deploy a common vision that drives strong cross-functional collaboration, business and community partnerships both internally and externally, and commitment to achieve business results; local risk management.

30% Operational Excellence: Manage site operations, including safe manufacturing of quality products to serve our customers; leadership to drive identification, implementation and adoption of initiatives and innovation that generate effectiveness, efficiencies, cost savings, and competitive positioning.

25% Engaged Employees: Develop a strong culture of accountability where employees are committed and motivated to contribute their ideas and efforts.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Cargill, federal, state and local regulations. Ensure all employees are trained in safety and food safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Supports and maintains community relations that align with Cargill's corporate and business interests while addressing stakeholder/community needs.

Required:

4 year college degree in Engineering or Science

8 years experience with plant processes, operations and management

Demonstrated experience leading and influencing change; developing a strong culture of accountability and engagement

Demonstrated ability to assess and develop talent

Proven conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated strong collaboration and business partnering ability

Strong connections and knowledge of multiple functional areas, including EHS, Food Safety, Maintenance & Reliability, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and Sales

Significant experience at/exposure to multiple manufacturing locations as well as in multiple functions and or processing departments

Preferred:

4 year BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science

Masters of Business Administration

Experience in work culture improvement initiatives

Experience in a Chocolate Production Facility is a plus

Demonstrated success in a medium to high complexity site key performance indicator improvements

Leadership of cross-functional teams

Demonstrated successful collaboration with commercial or product line working teams

Green belt or Black Belt in LEAN/6-sigma

Experience collaborating with or directing all build, operate, and maintain functional areas (M&R, CI, Manufacturing Technology, Capital/Engineering Excellence
