Job Description

Position Summary:

Provide quality dental treatment to homeless and low income persons within the Care Alliance service area. Oversee clinical areas of operations. Represent the Practice to the community.

Requirements:

  • CurrentState of Ohio Dental License
  • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population base.
  • Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare provider status.
  • Strong clinical background.
  • Expertise in denture fabrication, extractions, complex restorative and patient management.
  • Excellent oral and written communications' skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
    • Ability to work independently
      • Commitment to the mission of Care Alliance

        Responsibilities:

          • Provide dental care as needed during dental clinic hours.
          • Participate in assuring compliance with all governmental rules and regulations.
          • Provide dental patient treatment management including referral and follow-up to outside resources, if indicated.
          • Responsible for dental records.

          Qualifications

          • Problem solving skills.
          • Basic knowledge of the HIV/AIDS community.
          • May include involvement in HIV/AIDS dental treatment with Care Alliance or other AIDS treatment program.

          Typical Working Conditions:

          • Normal medical/dental/office environment.
          • Occasional evening or weekend work.
          • Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.

          Typical Physical Demands:

          • Thinking, walking, sitting and/or standing for long periods.
          • Some bending and stretching required.
          • Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to perform duties of the position.
          • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record or prepare reports.
          • May require lifting papers or boxes up to 20-30 pounds.

            Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
