Job Description

Pacific Western Bank is looking for a talented intern to help support various projects as part of its Diversity & Inclusion Program. The PWB Diversity & Inclusion Strategy focuses on initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within the PWB workforce, including recruiting and retaining diverse talent, maintaining a culture of respect around differences and increasing diversity in our suppliers and marketing efforts.

Position responsibilities range from industry research and metrics analysis to communications and events planning. The D&I Intern will focus on work and projects that require significant analysis, marketing and correspondence, and will report to the Senior Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion.

Responsibilities

* Brainstorm and help plan programs and events that support D&I goals
* Analyze data to identify trends, successes and areas of improvement
* Identify opportunities for increased local involvement and impact in target geographies
* Conduct research to support various D&I projects
* Contribute to HR communications strategy and execution
* Develop presentations for internal and external audiences
* Assist in planning special events
* Attend and capture notes from D&I committee calls and provide other administrative support as needed

Qualifications

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Diversity or Gender Studies, Human Resources, Communications or related discipline
* Previous D&I internship experience or demonstrated interest in diversity and inclusion
* Excellent communication and problem solving skills
* Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
* Strong ability to multitask and finish multiple assignments efficiently
* Strong interpersonal skills, writing and editing skills
* Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
