Within Capital Group, North American Distribution oversees sales and distribution for North America across various client segments including retail and institutional clients.  Their efforts are focused on positioning Capital Group as the active investment manager of choice, providing superior service, sales and marketing experience while broadening our business

As an Associate Relationship Manager you are a member of the Institutional Retirement Organization within Capital Group.  You will represent all of Capital’s investment services while building and maintaining high quality relationships with Clients in a defined territory of the U.S.  You will take on significant client/prospect responsibility immediately and will partner with the Relationship Manager (RM), Internal Sales & Support (ISS) and Assistant teams in a sales-oriented team model in order to be the active investment manager of choice for Capital Group’s Clients.


  • Co-lead with the RM to oversee full territory organization, development and execution, strategically making adjustments to territory business plan with the RM
  • Actively develop relationships in the institutional marketplace including defined contribution plans, defined benefit funds, labor union funds, endowments and insurance companies
  • Proactively contact current clients and prospects to gather business intelligence, present investment ideas, and schedule and conduct meetings and ultimately generate opportunities for pipeline development
  • Develops relationships and knowledge of plan design and investment strategy with an identified list of clients and prospects
  • Identifies and acts on cross-selling and retention opportunities


  • Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience with the ability to thrive in an independent, challenging and collaborative sales environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel 50-60% of the time
  • Series 7 or 82 required, Series 6 & 63
  • Ability to relocate
  • BA/BS degree required
  • CFA, CFP, CIMA designation and/or MBA a plus
