Market Data Services is a global team managing all aspects of Capital’s market data environment. The team is the primary interface for service related requests coming into the Market Data Group.

As a Market Data Business Services Manager, based in Los Angeles, California, you will oversee the team that is the liaison between the lines of business and the vendors who supply market data services to Capital.  The Market Data Business Manager will be involved in strategic planning, tool and content optimization, negotiating vendor agreements, cultivating and leading the Market Data Associates.


  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Market Data Business Services Team.
  • Manages the overall workflow processes and deliverables. 
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in all aspects of providing market data services including strategy, sourcing, negotiations, risk management, vendor management and some contract administration.
  • Collaborates with other Market Data Services managers to ensure that work processes and contract terms and conditions support the needs of their respective teams and regions.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve team processes and effectiveness.
  • Develops and implements solutions.
  • Oversees relationships with market data vendors.
  • Coordinates activities and decision making processes related to contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with contract terms, performance and quality.
  • Collaborates with various business units to collect requirements and feedback for products and services.
  • Communicates business issues and makes presentations to associates and external vendors.
  • Responds to complex market data questions from associates at various levels.
  • Monitors industry trends and issues and regulatory changes and makes recommendations for modifications required to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
  • Manages the performance and development of each member of the Market Data Business Services team.
  • Plans, prioritizes, delegates and coordinates projects within respective area. Participates in the planning for future product upgrades, roadmaps and strategic efforts impacting end-users.


  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the market data industry
  • Undergraduate degree required. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams by effectively leading and providing work direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop staff through coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and closely with all levels of management within and across the organization.
  • Analytical thinker who demonstrates the initiative to identify and logically resolve issues.
