The Contact Center Application Specialist applies engineering principles to provide technical leadership and guidance for Contact Center initiatives.  Partners with business leaders and architecture teams to identity strategic vision and develop contact center roadmap.  Researches, identifies, and recommends technology solutions to address business needs while aligning across multiple internal and external teams to deliver solutions and provide seamless support.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions: 
•    Creates technical vision in conjunction with business stakeholders, technology partners and vendors
•    Influences business technology roadmaps by providing solution leadership, drawing on extensive technical, business, industry and product knowledge
•    Identifies and assesses emerging trends and leads implementation of new technologies
•    Identifies and drives efforts to enhance development and support practices and processes
•    Collaborates across teams to create and document advanced technical designs and provide best effort estimates
•    Performs advanced review to ensure design patterns are followed and align with architecture standards
•    Applies information management concepts in order to design and implement systems that maximize data integrity and enable analytics capability
•    Provides senior technical leadership and consulting to teams


•    Minimum 5 years of experience working in a technical role supporting multi-site, multi-channel contact center solutions
•    Expertise with the following Contact Center technologies: Genesys CIM, VoIP Telephony, Call Recording, Reporting and IVRs 
•    Theoretical and practical experience in the following:
o    Database management systems (Oracle and MS-SQL)
o    SQL language and database development
o    Computer hardware (server hardware, storage hardware)
o    Conceptual understanding of DBMS and hardware HA concepts
o    Conceptual understanding of network security
o    Computer networks
o    Software design and development including basic programming knowledge in Java or .NET
o    WEB/SaaS based solutions
o    Modern operating systems (Windows and Linux)
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to effectively influence and shape technology direction
•    Demonstrated ability to scope & size technology solutions within relevant business constraints (e.g., time to market, cost, etc.)
