Job Description:

Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Position Type: Permanent/Fulltime

 

Responsibilities
Experience working with Core Java and database applications
requires strong knowledge of Collections, Multi-threading, in depth knowledge of the internal workings of JVM, Garbage Collection
requires strong PL/SQL skills and one of the databases mentioned below.
Strong experience working with big data applications and experience with either Sybase IQ/ Vertica / Teradata / Oracle Exadata
Requires knowledge of working with Big Data applications – the person doesn’t need to be a big data developer
Good problem solving and analytical skills is absolutely must – very important, ability to think through technical issues and arrive at possible solutions is a key skill that will be needed for the right candidate.
Regulatory reporting experience preferred – OATS/ Blue sheets – Not Mandatory but preferred
Experience working with Test driven development (TDD)
