Job Description

Hiring for Agile/Scrum (JAVA/ REST) for Bangalore location.

Job Description:

Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers and ensure project success
Ø Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Ø Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
Ø Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Ø Guiding the team on adapting Agile/Scrum framework when relevant
Ø Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Ø Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
Qualifications:
Ø BE in Electronics/ Computers/Electrical with 8+ year’s experience.
Ø Working experience in JAVA web applications, REST services (mandatory)
Ø Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Ø sound regarding the notions of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
Ø Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
Ø Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, , TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Ø Scrum certification or experience on Agile project.
Ø Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
Ø Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Ø Previous experience as a team lead can be a plus
Ø Servant Leader –Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
Ø Assertive –Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.
Ø Situational Aware –Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management
Ø Enthusiastic –Must be high-energy
Ø Attitude of empowerment –Must be able to lead a team to self-organization
Ø Attitude of transparency –Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trusyest.
Delivery Skills: Experience in handling Java REST projects, very good at multiple stakeholder management(technical as well) and should be able to represent the scrum of scrum meetings as well
