Job Description

The Role

Working closely with Capgemini colleagues and clients as a member of our Banking Practice, typically within or associated with a delivery, proposition or consulting engagement

Assignments will vary in size and duration and may involve working as part of a team delivering a contractual solution, providing expert client-side consultancy, mentoring or acting as a “trusted advisor” and / or “subject matter expert” to clients and internal teams alike.  Your relationships will run from senior management level through to project development and support teams.

The Banking Practice delivers expertise across a wide range of topics in the industry. Examples include complete core banking implementation programmes, digital transformation projects and advisory engagements around the future of the corporate banking customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering detailed requirements, typically in the form of use cases or functional specifications, and class models
  • For digital engagements: capture of user interface requirements, possibly with the help of a web designer, designer or developer who will provide any user interface prototypes
  • Contribution to or leadership of requirements workshops with the client, taking on some facilitation responsibilities as necessary
  • Active participation in the development of Practice-specific collateral
  • Contribution to business development activities such as responses to RFIs

Skills / experience required

  • Banking experience essential in any of Retail Banking, Business Banking, Commercial Banking or Corporate Banking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Awareness of appropriate technology solutions
  • Experience of Agile methodology
  • Iterative and distributed delivery experience desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and client facing skills
  • Product / business operational knowledge of at least two of: current accounts, savings accounts, mortgages, loans, cash management, trade finance, asset finance, banking customer experience, Host to Host or leasing
  • Good commercial judgement in containing the scope of work. Typically able to work as part of an analysis team in a structured environment utilising contemporary tools (Agile) and techniques
  • Able to take sole analyst responsibility for packages of work within a project

Skills / experience desired

  • Previous Consulting experience would be highly regarded
