Job Details

* Job Purpose:

Provides administrative and research support to the Department of Psychiatry Research Department. Assists with departmental research activities as requested by principle investigators leading the Family Studies Lab and the Children's Health Initiative. These duties may include: literature reviews, manuscript preparation and grant application support, meeting and room scheduling, as well as operations support for all new hiring and volunteers' IT access, badge access and Cori checks. Prepares and maintains contractor agreement for consultants, research fellows, students, interns, research associates and other vendors as needed. Serves as key contact for CHA operations related to the research space, with regard to maintenance requests or other logistics coordination. Advises staff on policies and procedures pertaining to purchasing, travel and reimbursement etc. Maintains inventory and orders office supplies as needed. Prepares, processes and tracks requisitions, purchase orders and invoices. Inputs all contractor agreements in CHA systems. Other duties as appropriate.

Qualifications:

* Education/Training:
* High school diploma, Associates Degree preferred
* Certifications:
* BLS
* Work Experience:
* Minimum 3-year Administrative experience in a medical setting.
* Advanced computer training required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
* Meditech, EPIC and database expertise preferred
* Physical Skills:
* Visual and auditory capabilities sufficient to comprehend written and spoken information.
* Auditory acuity to hear phones and voice in a noisy environment.
* Ability to enter data into the computer.
* Ability to work at a desk for extended periods of time and to negotiate office environment.
* Ability to lift 10-25 lbs.
* Mental Skills:
* Ability to work in a demanding, busy and stressful environment with sufficient concentration to complete tasks with interruptions and distractions.
* Ability to comprehend and process information rapidly, and make appropriate decisions.
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task responsibilities.
* Ability to interpret general and technical data in relationship to specific job responsibilities and interface effectively with a variety of individuals and departments both internally and externally.
* Working Conditions and Physical Environment:
* Incandescent and florescent lighting; no natural lighting in most of the area.
* Close quartered and shared work space.
* High visibility and demanding office environment.
* Work closely with other team members.
