Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position participates in Calista's 10-week Summer Internship Program from May 23, 2019 - August 2, 2019. The Calista Corporation Internship program is only open to Calista Shareholders and Descendants who are currently enrolled in college or a vocational training program.

The Technical Administrative Assistant Intern is responsible for providing administrative support to the Technology Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Gather and organize all IT contracts, bills and organize them as directed.
* Create a maintainable list of IT vendor contacts.
* Work with IT to create a detailed network map using Visio, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
* Review Datacom and telecom bills and verify charges as directed.
* Create and maintain inventory lists of IT equipment and cell phones
* Manage all daily administrative tasks for the Director of Technology.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

* Ability to work utilizing professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Considerable knowledge of personal computers and office/business applications, preferably Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio.
* Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copier, fax machine and phones.
* Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
* Ability to participate in group meetings.
* Ability to work in a Native Corporation multi-business environment.
* Experienced using MS Project preferred.
* Familiar with SharePoint preferred.
* Financial or accounting background is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* At least 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant for a technical manager or group.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Currently enrolled in a college or vocational degree program and attending classes on a full-time basis; enrollment in Business Administration or similar degree program or courses preferred.
* Proficient in MS Office products including Visio.
* Highly organized.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Able to work with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
* Must possess a GPA of at least 2.0, and be in good academic standing.
* Valid current Alaska Driver's License with good driving record preferred.
* Ability to pass a background and drug screening.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Yulista Holding LLC. has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.

Physical Effort: Frequent standing, talking, lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs., hand/eye coordination, and fine manipulation.

Visual Acuity: Frequent close/peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Mental Effort: Frequent analytical thinking, verbal/written communication, handling stress and emotions, concentrating on tasks, remembering details, and making decisions.

Environmental Factors: Frequently working alone.
