Description:

Employment Status: Full-time, probationary "exempt" position, with the possibility of converting to permanent.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Typical Activities:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Administrative Computing and Business Intelligence, the incumbent will customize and upgrade applications and related systems to meet ongoing user needs along with providing daily support and maintenance for enterprise administrative applications in support of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Administration and Finance, University Advancement and HR. The incumbent will provide ongoing development, maintenance and/ or enhancements to University reporting needs as well as provide ongoing analysis to address business process needs in administrative departments supported by ITS. The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field along with a minimum of three years of experience with portal application development and implementation leveraging Web Services technology such as REST and SOAP; experience with software configuration management such as SVN and Git; experience in analysis and debugging. Experience building complex SQL on any database (ORACLE, MSSQL). Applicant must possess working knowledge of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, PeopleTools 8.51+ and Integration Broker. Mobile Application Development experience desired.

Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills. Applicants must possess ability to work closely with business owners and other technical team members to clarify project scope and specifications, including providing and evaluating alternative options where appropriate. Applicants must possess ability to be flexible and able to work independently or in a team environment. Applicants must possess ability to independently translate business requirements analysis into technical design specifications and development. Applicants must demonstrate experience with full software lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, construction and testing). Applicants must possess strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and be self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Applicants must possess ability to prioritize, take initiative and work well under pressure. Familiar with dashboard desirable.
