The Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at California Baptist University, an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, invites applications for one year visiting professor positions to begin August 17, 2015 in the areas of Software engineering and Civil engineering. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching through the integration of the Christian faith and learning. A terminal degree in the field indicated is preferred, although candidates with a master's degree who are working toward a terminal degree may be considered. The successful candidate will teach a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This individual will have a good command of English, will be committed to excellence in teaching in both lecture and small-team environments, will have a passion for teaching and working with students, and will be committed to technical and professional growth. Additionally, interest and experience in leading teams of students in cross-cultural settings, joining a team to develop innovative curriculum and working with industry partners are preferred. Industrial and teaching experiences are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to support the mission of California Baptist University.
