Role and Responsibilities


The EASA Training Manager will perform the role as a nominated post holder of CFI for UK maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and discipline in training operations. Responsible for development, proof-reading and approval of any other training department documentation in conjunction with HT. The selected individual will ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and discipline in training operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Ensuring that CAE OAA Phoenix always meets the Approval requirements of the UK CAA in conjunction with the CAE OAA HT.
* Ensuring that training is carried out in strict adherence to the CAE OAA Flight Crew Operations Manual, FAR and the CAE OAA aircraft SOPs.
* Setting, measuring and sampling the training standards of CAE OAA Phoenix Fls and students.
* The line management and performance monitoring of the CAE OAA Phoenix FI/Examiner Team.
* The progressive development of CAE OAA Phoenix SOPs in co-ordination with the CAE OAA (Oxford) CFI and the CAE OAA HT.
* Testing of instructors and students in line with Company requirements and personal qualifications.
* Assessing the selection if instructors and formal development of instructors and students.
* Maintaining formal records of instructors training and testing, as well as formal reporting on the performance of students in training.
* Authoring and amendment of the CAE OAA Aircraft SOPs as required in conjunction with the HT.
* Endorsement of student training records and licensing documentation.
* Recommendations for testing on behalf of ATO.
* Development, proof-reading and approval of any other training department documentation in conjunction with HT.

Supervisory Responsibilities

* Directly manages and oversees the EASA program training and will provide guidance and direction to Instructors.
* Responsible for scheduling personnel, managing labor and material expenditures.
* Responsible for activities of direct reports including, but not limited to, attendance/time management, adherence to company policy and procedures, and development of technical and leadership skills.
* Attends meetings, manages delivery schedules and coordinates configuration management activities.
* Ensures a safe and secure work environment is established and maintained

Qualifications and Education Requirements

* High School Diploma
* Minimum 4 Years EASA Flight School Management Experience as an ATO Post holder
* Current EASA Flight Examiner Rating for Commercial Multi-Engine and Flight Instructor Examiner
* Current EASA Flight Instructor Rating with approval for Flight Instructor Course Training & MPLI
* Experience managing Integrated, Modular and MPL training programs
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Must be able to effectively deliver oral presentations to students in a classroom or simulator environment.
* Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to work overtime as required.
* Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
* Understanding of military protocols and customs is essential.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current FAA ATP Single and Multi-Engine and CFI Certificates

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

* Incumbent must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

* Work in a regular office environment; communicate via personal computer, telephone and fax.
* Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock from moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure.
* Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: flight line.
* Domestic and international travel as required.
* Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit.
* Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery.
* Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment.
