Description:

CACI seeks experienced Technical Project Managers with a background in biometrics and information technology who will plan and execute a task order, including all deliverable required by the task order that possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with experience working in a Department of Defense environment. This is a lead position reporting to the Program Manager requiring experience analyzing new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be a strategic thinker.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager performs technical project management functions in support of DoD. The position is responsible for identifying requirements and identifying requirement. Plan and execute a Task Order, including all deliverables required by the Task Order. Maintain responsibility for the assigned scope, schedule, and budget. The Project Manager defines and manages the team's approach using an agile methodology which is compliant with the software development life cycle. The position is responsible for establishing IT project plans and maintain the project plans within a targeted cost and schedule variance. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Perform requirements analysis, providing product demonstrations and devising strategies and solutions in support of DoD. Responsibility includes providing analytical support for drafting and coordinating technical requirements, budgets, and schedules for projects involving design, development, research, and fabrication. Coordinate project plans with internal and external government agencies and contractors. Work one or more Integrated Solutions Teams or Technical Lead to accomplishment the assigned work. Use Microsoft Project to develop project plans that are consistent with established requirements. Create resource leveled project plans, track the progress of project plans, provide status reports, obtain necessary resources to execute project plans within budget, and identify issues and risk.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and 12 years of experience in IT
- At least 8 years of experience managing IT projects
- 5+ years of experience with project management
- 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience leading large IT base teams and projects
- Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in program management
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Project, Power Point, Excel, and Word
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others
- Experience working, running and deploying Agile Software Development, Sustainment and Integration projects
- Independence to acquire and maintain technical skills for professional development.
- Creative problem solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Experience in working with biometrics systems and software and component algorithms
Desired Qualifications
Previous work experience in a DoD environment
Technical experience with Automated Biometrics Identification System (ABIS)
