Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide R&M engineering support in an Army Product Management office. Must have experience performing FMEA, FMECA, and performing or interpreting forensic analysis. Highly desire prior experience supporting electronic sensor systems, with an emphasis on RADAR systems. Must have experience as a contractor supporting Army officers (MAJ; LTC; COL) and collaborating with systems engineers, cost analysts, logisticians, and trainers. Experience in Milestone B, Milestone C, and product sustainment for electronic systems is rated highly. Active SECRET clearance required.
Performs a variety of moderately complex software and/or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design, or test nature. Participates on project teams and provides guidance to less experienced engineers and technical staff. Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. Engineering activities support both domestic and international products/services.
Prepares engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection.
Performs moderately complex engineering assignments of an analysis, design or test nature requiring application of specific standard techniques and procedures.
Conducts surveys and research to gather field data necessary for development or installation.
Prepares and interprets blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids in conformance with engineering design and customer specification.
Prepares technical construction specifications for onsite use as needed.
Reviews and critiques proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
Reviews development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
