Contribute to enacting the strategic priorities of a growing Training and Development Branch using subject matter expertise in the creation and delivery of adult learning experiences. Ability to design creative and innovative learning solutions in support of learning needs with principles of adult learning. Providing expert instruction and facilitation in a number the Training and Development Branch sponsored courses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, oversees work of more junior trainers and presents complex training programs for customers and in-house employees. Defines and identifies program needs with sales, marketing, or engineering departments. Obtains technical data and schedules programs. Conducts training programs on all topics and designs and develops training program elements/modules. Formulates training policies and schedules utilizing knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services. Oversees and reviews the development of teaching aids including training manuals, demonstration models, reference materials and visual aids. Mentors less experienced trainers.
Ability to work in independently in a team-oriented fast-paced environment. Prior experience and demonstrated expertise in leadership and management to include the development and delivery of courses on these topics. Prior experience with the design and development of courses/workshops using varied instructional design models and learning theories. Demonstrated expertise delivering and facilitating learning experiences to include traditional classroom, online, and team offsites. Prior experience w/conducting learning needs analysis. Prior experience designing and implementing evaluations strategies to assess overall learning needs and requirements. Prior experience designing and delivering training using varied learning technologies. Demonstrated experience with project/program management.
Prior experience designing and delivering trainings. Experience using consultation skills.
Educational background in adult learning and/or instructional systems design. Degree or professional certification.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related (sales and/or technical) experience.
The clearance level required is dependent on the type of clearance supported by our client.
