This is full performance level security administrative work. Requires journeyman level knowledge of security-related administrative processes and procedures in support of a diverse range of security functional areas. This includes several or all of the following: polygraph, adjudication, investigation, physical/technical security, and security analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Provide a diverse range of senior administrative support functions. The below reflects some but not all of the daily activity and support:

-Functions as the resident expert in executing security administrator work; handles the most technically challenging administrative functions

-Maintain and prepare, as necessary, Standard Operating Procedures for core area of responsibility

-Coach, mentor, and develop junior level security administrators

-Open security actions and maintain security records

-Conduct full range of security processing dependent upon assignment

-Perform prescreen duties to include detecting obvious errors or omissions in information

-Print and distribute documentation to facilitate adjudicative process

-Photocopy and fax materials, file documentation in security files, provide file maintenance, and forward and track security and polygraph files

-Ensure accurate records are maintained and complet

-Write material that comprehensively summarizes and/or presents findings in an organized manner
- Serve as a role model in anticipating customer needs and providing exceptional customer service

-Assist with developing materials for formal and informal training programs

-Support regularly scheduled and ad-hoc electronic and non-electronic finger-printing and capturing activities

-Schedule meetings as needed

-Submit accurate component statistics on a monthly and ad-hoc basis

-Perform and support Security File Room duties to include insuring that it is managed in a secure, organized, and efficient manner to meet customer requirements

-Support and maintain customer's electronic security file processes

-Interact with and support other mission security analysts and security support personnel

-Assist in the preparation of briefings, memoranda, and other correspondence

-Submits and/or conducts searches and queries using corporate and customer specific databases

-Manage work load effectively to meet required productivity standards

-Respond in a timely manner to inquiries from the customer on the status of pending cases or any other information pertaining to security support tasks

-Attend meetings required for all personnel and complete all mandatory training courses

Required Qualifications:

-Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience

-Must have a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years progressively responsible related experience

-Requires the following: a high level of personal integrity and the ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal and classified case information; excellent writing skills, with the ability to comprehend complex and multi-source data into succinct and supportable final reports; ability to operate various automated systems for case tracking, and status reporting

-Demonstrated ability to produce documents that require minimal editing

-Knowledge of and ability to use customer specific applications (MS Office, Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and other web based applications)

-Demonstrated understanding of the federal rules and regulations that encompass and support the clearance process

-Ability to adapt to changing work requirements, provide on-the-job training to colleagues, and work in fast-paced team environment
