Job Description

Our client is a is a premier global provider of responsive management consulting, logistics solutions, and professional services, delivering quantifiable cost savings and improvement in mission readiness to our customers.

They are currently seeking a Junior Business Analyst in Washington, D.C.

JOB DESCRIPTION

* Provide general staff support with a logistics business operation focus to SEA 06L senior leadership and four division managers
* Gather/analyze data for SEA 06L programs and compile into reports that facilitate required management actions necessary to formulate solutions for any problems identified
* Identify business trends utilizing real data, compile analysis reports that are delivered to managers/developers and then follow-up on all results
* Work independently with some guidance to ensure effective communications between SEA 06L senior leadership and division managers that facilitate process improvement
* Create direct channels of communication to software and application developers that get the job done with minimal managerial interjection
* Facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive management plan for each project and regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated on program/project progress
* This position serves as an interface within the NAVSEA 06L program office on day-today project issues and assists program managers with development of solutions to address problems with project goals and strategies; provides expertise in doing specific project tasks; manages task products to ensure adherence to requirements; facilitates completion of specific tasks within scheduling and budgetary parameters; and develops presentations and leads meetings on specific subtasks as directed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* At least two years of specialized business operations experience, preferably in logistics or product support management
* Strong math (statistics) skills, analytical aptitude and extensive MS Excel skills
* General understanding of NAVSEA logistics, policies, processes and procedures
* Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and identify key trends
* Ability to present data in a logical, concise manner
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Direct client support experience in a fast-paced environment
* Effective multi-tasking skills

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* IT technical background
* MS Project

REQUIRED EDUCATION

BA or BS degree or equivalent, and two to four years related experience.

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

Active secret clearance is required.
