Job Description

Position available for an electrical engineer with experience in a variety of facility electrical system and subsystems including: electrical distribution, lighting, communications, and , fire alarm systems. Types of projects will include:

* Commercial and Military aviation hangars and related facilities.
* Airport terminals and related facilities.
* Military facilities.
* Federal facilities.
* Large infrastructure upgrade projects, etc.

General duties of the role are as follows:

* Standard design of electrical systems/equipment to provide a useful and safe workplace.
* Be able to work under a Senior or Staff Engineer's supervision and direction.
* Able to develop electrical design plans for facilities encompassing but not limited to the following: reliable normal and emergency power distribution, energy efficient lighting systems, communications and security systems, controls for HVAC systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems, uninterrupted power systems (UPS) systems, and emergency generators.
* Assist in the design and specification of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
* Perform construction support services, including, but not limited to: shop drawing review, answering RFIs and site visits.
* All other duties as assigned.
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program is required.
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of all applicable standards and codes is preferred.
* Strong CAD and computer skills necessary to accomplish electrical design goals are required. Revit (BIM) preferred.
* Knowledge of applicable standards and codes is preferred.
* FE/EIT strongly preferred.
* Zero to two years of experience in the design, installation and maintenance of electrical distribution, lighting, communications, and fire alarm systems preferred.
* Experience within the aviation industry a plus.
