The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of managing a profitable store location, will support all initiatives outlined by the Regional Manager and corporate, and will oversee all day-to-day operational tasks to ensure the store operates effectively and efficiently. The goal, in partnership with the management team, is to hire, train, and develop sales associates to meet individual and store sales goals while executing key strategies of retail led growth, leveraging the franchise, operational excellence, non-apparel development and investing in under-penetrated markets.  

Recruitment/Team Building:
o    Responsible for the overall recruitment, training and development of staff and performance management 
o    Through successful recruitment, on-boarding and training create a luxury store environment  
o    Competitive shop to understand market and recruit effectively
o    Create and maintain a team environment within the store 
o    Develop and recruit promotable candidates for company needs

o    Provide monthly one on one sessions with staff, in addition to a weekly touch base with the management team 
o    Resolve interpersonal issues in partnership with General Manager 
o    Create, implement and lead all sales and training initiatives 
o    Implement and review store policies/procedures on a regular basis and ensure staff adheres to them 
o    Observe staff on the selling floor and their interaction with customers, co-workers and overall customer service level
o    Provide in the moment and formal feedback based on observations. Share observations and next steps with GM
o    Resolves escalated issues in partnership with Regional Manager 

o    Provide training to new hires and provide continuous refresher and specialized training, as needed, to sales associates
o    Identify patterns in mystery shop scores, identify and execute training to increase overall scores
o    Manage and direct training modules at all levels in store. Implement and lead all sales and training initiatives 

Business Development
o    Analyze reports to identify deficiencies and opportunities
o    Develop relationships and communicate effectively with merchants
o    Ensure product assortments to meet store profiles – seasonal input on buys for store
o    Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to develop a repeat and loyal clientele

o    Responsible for all aspect of CRM program: CRM program: Thank you notes, Invite Back, Reactivation, follow up with staff on client books, client outreach, marketing outreach in area (i.e. charities, events)
o    Lead management in coaching and develop of staff in this area

Operations & Loss Prevention: 
o    Ensure appropriate store controls for all company standards in all departments, i.e., payroll hours, management mix, cash, inventory, fixtures and property. 
o    Process Payroll in EZ labor, maintaining schedules and ensuring staff adheres to attendance and punctuality policies and procedures
    Ensure employees are paid in compliance with state and federal law
o    Responsible for the maintenance and organization of the daily register, banking functions, communicating and setting appointments with outside vendors that provide services for the store 
o    Implement and lead floor sets, inventory and all company initiatives 
o    Ensure store shrinkage and audit goals are achieved through sound operational execution 
o    Prepare, implement, and execute scheduled inventory 
o    Opening and closing of the store 
o    Oversee daily cleaning and physical up-keep of damaged areas inside and outside the store, ensure stockroom is organized and is set up properly so staff can easily access merchandise 
o    Manage and monitor sales figures, payroll budgets, controllable expenses, inventory control best practices and banking procedures

o    Manage store execution in accordance with the company's visual and operational standards 
o    Analyze sales results and create action plans to achieve desired results 
o    Assist with implementation of floor sets when appropriate, support visual directives and all company initiatives

o    Manage and maintain current programs for optimal performance practices, including training modules, communication binder, bulletin boards, holds and damages, schedules and backroom organization 
o    Hold morning information and motivational meetings in partnership with management team

Position Requirements:

o    A minimum of 5 years of experience in management in a luxury retail environment
o    University degree preferred 
o    Strong clientele background
o    Willing to work in and promote a team oriented environment 
o    Must have strong leadership skills and demonstrate a strong leadership background 
o    Excellent interpersonal skills required to ensure clear, effective communication with all management and staff. Consistently show a positive attitude & take responsibility for own actions 
o    Must be results driven and flexible to change 
o    Advanced knowledge of POS System and basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
o    Must have balanced strengths in operations, merchandising and personnel management
