Job Description

BSE Global's (Brooklyn Nets, Long Island Nets and Barclays Center) Summer Internship Program provides an excellent learning environment for students seeking an educational opportunity within the sports and entertainment industry. The Summer Internship Program is an unpaid academic credit-based internship program and will begin on June 1, 2020 and end on August 7, 2020.

The majority of the internship opportunities will be located at our Industry City Corporate Headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. A small handful of departments and internship opportunities are located on Long Island at Nassau Coliseum. Each intern will be assigned to a specific department in which they will remain for the duration of the program.

We host interns in a variety of departments, including:

* NetsGC Video (Brooklyn): Video intern will direct, produce and develop media packages for Nets Gaming Crew. You will also assist in the overall content creation for Nets Gaming Crew, working directly with the social media team.
* Communications (Brooklyn): Intern will draft press releases, media advisories and pitch letters, monitor media coverage and compile media clips into recap documents. In addition, the intern will work with other members of the department to develop and execute media strategies for various activations and events that involve the Brooklyn Nets, Long Island Nets, Barclays Center, NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and NetsGC. Intern will also work in-tandem with various departments to develop influencer engagement strategies for all aforementioned properties and teams.
* Community Relations (Brooklyn): Intern will understand how the Brooklyn Nets affect the surrounding community by conducting events, programs and by donating to non-profit organizations all while raising awareness of the brand.
* Facility Operations (Brooklyn): Intern will gain an understanding of the day to day operations and facility management of a professional sports team and corporate.
* Finance (Brooklyn): Intern will have exposure to projects that include monthly assignments utilizing Excel. This will be in addition to assisting the Accounts Payable clerk with weekly expense reports and for data entry.
* Game Presentation (Brooklyn): Intern will gain exposure to auditions and dance clinics for the Nets entertainment performers. May also include game night support.
* Global Partnership Strategy, Sales & Marketing (Brooklyn): Intern will engage in client research for future targeting. You will have the opportunity to create, manage, and execute onsite activations at Barclays Center and NYCB LIVE, working directly with the Partnership Sales & Marketing team.
* Human Resources (Brooklyn): Intern will make significant contributions to the company's HR processes and deliver your input on strategic projects. You'll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of developing and building an internship program. You will rotate through and gain exposure to the following topics: recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, event planning, and operations.
* IT/ Help Desk Support (Brooklyn): Intern will learn how the Help Desk assists employees with desktop computer issues, including software and hardware problems in a mixed PC/Mac environment.
* Long Island Nets Business Operations(Nassau): Intern will learn the behind-the-scenes workings and administrative responsibilities necessary to support the Business Operations staff of the G-League team through hands-on experience in Ticket Sales/Sponsorship, Marketing, and Community Relations.
* Membership Services (Brooklyn): Intern will become knowledgeable of Nets and Barclays Center Events ticket sales from start to finish (prospecting, pitching, contracts and fulfillment). Tasks include research projects, season ticket member events, and providing on-site customer service to clients.
* Premium Hospitality (Brooklyn): Intern will become knowledgeable of Barclays Center suites and premium seating and have an understanding of the sales process from start to finish. This would include prospecting, pitching, contracts and fulfillment for both leased suites, nightly suite rentals and loge seats. Tasks may include processing tickets, research projects, assisting at sales events, and providing on-site customer service to clients in premium seating sections.
* Premium Service (Brooklyn): Intern will become knowledgeable of Barclays Center suites and premium seating. He/She will have an understanding of how we provide best-in-class customer service and continuously look for ways to enhance the premium customer experience. Tasks may include preparing gift bags, assisting at events, coordinating surprise & delight's, processing tickets, providing on-site customer service to clients in premium seating sections.
* Team Marketing (Brooklyn): Intern will participate in the activation of specific marketing initiatives and promotions for Brooklyn Nets & New York Islanders. The intern may also develop an understanding about NBA Team Marketing by researching other NBA Team: websites (to compare content), social media pages, promotions, publications, and community involvement.
* Ticket Analytics (Brooklyn): Intern will gain exposure to pricing strategy, time series demand forecasting, and other in-depth analytics projects utilizing Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Python in the fast paced environment of professional sports ticketing strategy.
* Video (Brooklyn): Intern will direct, produce and develop media packages for the Brooklyn Nets and Long Island Nets.


* All interns must be enrolled students in an undergraduate program, or students engaged in graduate studies.
* All interns must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
* All interns must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.

Interview Process

Selected qualified applicants will be screened by HR and followed up with a phone interview with Department Supervisors.
