Job Description

This is a temporary position that is approved for one year from hire.

Job Summary/Scope: Brown-Forman seeks a temporary employee for a one year assignment in Global Finance supporting Credit and Cash Application.

Responsibilities:

* Determine which credit holds are legitimate and need further review


* Run reporting every hour to keep orders flowing through shipment process (up to 100 released orders per day during peak times)


* Identify and understand deductions and post on A/R correctly with detail, which will require daily follow-up with customers and detailed text to identify the deduction and process to adjudicate it (i.e., cash application)


* Communicate issues to Sales, Customer Service, Shipping, Finance and others as required


* Respond to internal calls in order to problem-solve issues with invoices


* Laisse between customer, A/P, and A/R departments with commercial field representatives


* Follow-up with customers timely with poor remittance detail


* Download and send high volume of customer statements to ensure timely payments by month-end.


* Coding and approving credit memos and miscellaneous billings through Prodagio/Coupa spend management systems.


* Ability to understand process flows in SAP and update table information


* Problem-solve netting issues between A/P and & A/R.


* Resolve daily issues with POS -- billing inefficiencies, customer master errors, lack of process



Must Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business field with a minimum of one year of experience


* Understanding of balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statements and properly spread financials into scoring tool. Must understand credit metrics and ratios related to potential insolvency.


* Exposure to Credit and Accounts Receivable


* Strong attention to detail


* Ability to build relationships internal and external to the organization


* Strong customer service skills


* Effective communication skills



Preferred Requirements:

* SAP


* 3-5 years of experience in Credit Department


* Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry
