Job Description

Brown Advisory is currently seeking an Accounting Intern in our Baltimore, MD office. The individual will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties with high visibility. Junior or Senior students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance who have the flexibility to work 15-25 hours per week through the semester are encouraged to apply.

Duties of the internship include but are not limited to:

* Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations
* Assist with corporate tax projects
* Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
* Assist with Private Equity fund accounting
* Processing of invoices including coding
* Purchasing card reconciliations and recordation
* Travel and Expense report audits
* Additional duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements

* Ability to work a minimum of 20-40 hours per week
* Junior or Senior standing while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
* Proficient in Excel and Word
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
* Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
* Illustrates tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
