Job Description

* Responsible for organizing and maintaining the Brooks' materials studio and ensuring the latest materials are organized and presented with accurate information.
* Collaborate with our development, design and product line management teams to help create efficient and streamlined material tools for Footwear use
* Assist Materials Manager with Supplier communication and coordination of their visits with Footwear teammates.
* Support Materials Team with execution of the seasonal project and palette execution
* Partner cross-functionally with Apparel Materials department, Sustainability department, Legal department, and other departments as needed to align and execute projects.

Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from in a degree program, majoring in Material Science, Design or a related field
* Strong knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign preferred
* Knowledge of color, textiles, synthetics, yarn, finishes and effects is a plus.
* Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments' operations and/or morale; "connecting the dots."
* Demonstration of innovation and initiative - always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.

The duration of this internship will be approximately 2 months. Commencing June 2019 and concluding August 2019.

The role will operate from our Corporate Office in Seattle, WA
