Job Description

Instructional Designer - Brookdale Community College.

The Instructional Designer (ID) develops and recommends approaches for implementing instructional technology across academic programs and initiatives; partners with faculty in the development of engaging, interactive, and instructionally sound curriculum for use in face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses; assists faculty to transition their course material to a compressed schedule format. The Instructional Designer supports initiatives involving academic technology through all phases of the instructional design process (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) in relation to the goals and implementation strategies of the project.

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least three years' experience with content development and/or design and web delivery.
  • Knowledge of MS Office including intermediate skill in Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Adobe Create Suite tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Captivate.
  • Successful experience managing projects and a strong ability to communicate and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students are essential.
