We are looking for outstanding high school educators to join our team in 2013.

Since 2003, Bright Star Schools has operated some of the strongest tuition-free public charter schools in Los Angeles. Our schools primarily serve children in the mid-city communities of West Adams and Korea town, though students from all across the Los Angeles Unified School District are eligible to attend.

Thinking Nation is an online 6th-12th grade history curriculum that adheres to Common Core Standards. Through the use of historical thinking skills outlined in each lesson, students respond to essay prompts through in-depth analysis of historical documents. Students individually produce an argumentative essay aligned to a specific historical thinking skill, to support their personal thesis. We are looking for passionate educators that are willing to work from home. All essays are graded through our online platform. Graders can grade anytime and anywhere they like.

We offer educational programs for two-and-a-half year olds through kindergarten designed to nourish the growing child. In addition to our academic program, we develop the social, problem solving and critical thinking skills of your children for a lifetime of success. From our beautiful location and premises in Albany, California, we serve families in the entire San Francisco East Bay community. It is located not far from University of California campus, Berkeley. In the opposite direction is our neighboring cities El Cerrito and Kensington. The Children's house has been constructed using the principles of green building. Adjacent to one side is an outdoor classroom and organic garden extension. On the other side is a unique natural play area with an interesting climbing structure, sand, bikes and blocks to accommodate a varity of natural outdoor play.
