Operations Coordinator, RN Professional Development, Part Time-(3050288)


Under the general direction the Nursing Director for Professional Development, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of complex administrative duties and coordinates office procedures to ensure professional and efficient operation of the Professional Development Department. This position involves interaction with many Partners and non-Partners entities including: BWFH, BWH, Leadership, Academic Institutions, and outside contract vendors. The Operations Coordinator will provide administrative and support functions to ensure cost effective methods of operation and optimizes communication throughout the Department. In doing so, the Administrative Coordinator to the Professional Development will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice. This position requires advanced organizational, interpersonal and project management skills, including a high degree of initiative and independent judgment to anticipate and problem solve to ensure effective operations. Strong communication and organizational skill are required as well as sophisticated working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Schedule: Part time, 24 hours, typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday. 3-day work week with flexibility.

Bachelor's Degree required. Healthcare or related experience preferred.

Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and demonstrated customer service skills required. Fast paced, clinically oriented environment. Rapid change cycle and need to shift priorities regularly. Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards. Strong knowledge in each of the following programs: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, PeopleSoft and SharePoint. Basic financial/accounting skills. Independent judgment needed to organize work and set priorities. Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with a diverse group of hospital and non-hospital personnel. Ability to foster a team environment. Understanding of medical terminology. Demonstration of flexibility and willingness to adapt to diverse roles as a member of the unit- based team.

Physical Requirements: 10-20 lbs lifting, up to 50 lbs pushing/pulling. Activites range from sitting in meetings, computer work, to actively working with staff in classroom or clinical setting.
