About Bravo! Vail The Bravo! Vail Music Festival brings world-renowned musicians to picturesque venues throughout the Vail Valley for six weeks, drawing music lovers from around the world. The only festival in North America to host four of the world's finest orchestras in a single season, Bravo! Vail's 2018 season features residencies with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic plus the London-based Academy of St Martin in the Fields, which, in 2016, became the first international orchestra to perform at the Festival. In addition, internationally acclaimed chamber artists and soloists perform a wide array of unique and carefully curated chamber music programs. As stewards of exceptional orchestral and chamber music in the Vail Valley, Bravo! Vail is proud to continue the tradition of providing the very best education programs to youth and adults. Position Summary: The Development Associate is a full-time position responsible for providing administrative support to the Development Department and to the VP Development. The Development Associate participates in and supports Bravo! Vail's fundraising efforts including mailing campaigns, grant research and writing, donor acknowledgement, patron events and managing a donor portfolio. The ideal candidate works effectively in a collaborative team environment, and has an aptitude for juggling multiple priorities and projects while maintaining attention to detail. The Development Associate is proactive, enthusiastic and has a passion for the mission of Bravo! Vail.



  • Maintain a portfolio of approximately 50 donors at the $50-$599 range;
  • Responsible for preparation and execution of all fundraising mailings including mail merging and printing Coordinate letter process with Development team, Board Trustees
  • Update annual fundraising collateral
  • Adhere to and execute the Gift Acknowledgment plan donor benefit packets, gift bag distribution twice-weekly donation acknowledgment letters monthly pledge reminder mailing monthly Eagle County Home Purchasers Mailing
  • Oversee development of fundraising status reports, annual reports
  • Organize Insider's Club offers and communication
  • Assist with preparation of end-of-season materials including thank you notes, final reports
  • Manage donor concert sponsorship selections
  • Manage RSVP e-mails
  • Provide support for Soirees, Gala, and all Bravo! Vail social events
  • Assist in grant research; grant writing o Research donor and corporate prospects, donor cultivation plans and corporate proposals


  • Track all Development department expenses; update and manage budget and provide accurate records to Finance department
  • Check RSVP email and voicemail regularly and update all records
  • First to answer all department phone calls and general e-mails
  • Attend all Board of Trustee and applicable committee meetings
  • Provide executive assistance to VP Development
  • General office tasks as needed
  • Attend Board and applicable Board committee meetings; take minutes at development-related committee meetings

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field o Highly organized and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel
  • Background in Customer Relationship Management systems preferable, knowledge of Tessitura a plus
  • Experience with InDesign and Photoshop preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license

The Development Associate position is a full-time, salaried position.

The successful candidate is available to work through the Festival Season (mid-June through early August).
