Job Description

Our client is a food company which produces and distributes value added food ingredient products throughout North America and Europe. The ingredients are formulated into the consumer products of many of the most recognized food, beverage and pharmaceutical companies.

Position:

This position is for the person who is skilled in selling food ingredients both to buyers and to R&D/new product development people. The Regional Sales Manager must be able to hold their own in technical discussions concerning the functional properties of food ingredients.

This person will have responsibility for sales to existing accounts and the development of new business in the Northeast U.S. Travel estimated to be 50%.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Food Science degree or background preferred
  • Ability to work in a home based office
  • 2 years minimum experience in ingredient sales to food and/or pharmaceutical companies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills
