Please review the following job description:

Manage all financial aspects of the line of business including; planning, close, audit support, reporting, analytics, financial systems and controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

* Coordinate and manage budget/forecast processes applying detailed understanding of drivers and dynamics of revenues and expenses gleaned from detailed understanding of history
* Coordinate and review all close activities including; revenue cycle, payroll, AP, and accruals
* Coordinate and review actual to forecast / budget comparisons and the related variance explanations
* Support the preparation, interpretation and presentation of financial analyses and presentations which can include: external financials, sales and margin analysis, operational metrics, and ad hoc analysis.
* Assist with strategic and tactical recommendations to senior management in support of business objectives.
* Present or support presentation of analysis and recommendations to top management
* Lead systems and other process improvement/implementation activities
* Liaison with various auditors (financial, market, tax, etc.)

Required Skills and Competencies:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Accounting degree with CPA
* 3 to 6 years of experience including; general ledger, financial reporting, audit, payroll, inter-company, bank and other balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting, consolidations and SOX
* Demonstrated experience with process implementation and continuous process improvement initiatives
* Demonstrated skill in solving business problems using analytical analysis
* Experience to include supervision of degreed and non-degreed staff
* Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
* Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel

Desired Skills:

* Some Insurance industry experience
* Demonstrated experience applying new GAAP and implementation of those accounting practices
