The Maintenance Coordinator will coordinate maintenance activities to maintain unit operations and meet sfatey and cost objectives. This person will also provide operations and maintenance with support and leadership to ensure safe operation of the assigned unit. This role is key to making sure that the Control of Work standard is properly executed and maintained by approving properly prepared work permits and developing risk assessments and work packages as necessary.

Enters maintenance notifications into the system
Monitors status of work orders and maintenance/I&E backlog
Attends and participates in the maintenance planning/scheduling daily meetings
Evaluates the unit equipment and makes recommendations on correct operating parameters
Determines if unit equipment can be repaired during normal operations or if it needs to be scheduled for TAR
Initiates and approves work permits for unit maintenance activities
Coordinated PPM inspections and testing
Conducts unit walk through inspections
Maintains blind list and lockout lists
Prioritize and schedule routine maintenance work
Reviews unit procedures for inspection criteria and maintenance related activities
Prepares the unit turnaround plan
Reviews and revises the unit shutdown task list
Maintains TAR records and unit maintenance files
Orders operations supplies and/or other equipment as needed though SAP
Attends meetings as required
Completes all required training
Complies with all HSSE programs. Policies and procedures
Participates in audits such as HSSE, S&O, etc.
Participates in HAZOP reviews and PSSR
Participated in incident investigations and tracks action items
Initiates and reviews MOCs
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Provides training to operations on necessary maintenance activities
Supports operator driven reliability
Review engineering packages, revise drawings, and provide SME input as required. Ensure P&ID accuracy. Support Engineering and R&T Teams
Supports Decatur Plant OSHA RIF and environmental recordable incident rates and event reporting process.
Complete contractor performance evaluations, audit BP and contractor work areas, assure good housekeeping, and correct unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Maintain qualification for atmospheric monitoring, use gas tester, initiate and approve work permits.
Monitor quality, cost, consumption and yield. Consult with optimization engineers to recommend operational improvements.
Provide performance information on operators and shift leaders

Thorough knowledge of petro-chemical processes and equipment.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and SAP computer applications.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge/experience with engineering standards and materials of construction
