Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Under the direct supervision of the Youth Development Supervisor, shall assist in all clerical, instructional and program tasks.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

* Supervise children in a variety of program areas and activities such as art, sports, fitness, game room, tech lab, education, life skills and character and leadership development as assigned.
* Required participation in Keystone Club.
* Required participation in Junior Staff Program.
* Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
* Presenting subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role playing.
* Administering pre and post course tests.
* Service to community.
* Exceptional customer service.
* Assist with and attend field trips.
* Assist children with school homework.
* Attend all staff meetings.
* Assist Senior staff.
* Other tasks as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with club staff and supervisor to receive/provide information and discuss issues.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

* Ability to supervise children in a variety of program areas and activities with patience and flexibility
* Ability to plan and coordinate multiple and varied tasks.
* Excellent verbal and written skills.
* Excellent team building and team leadership skills.
* Energetic and motivated.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Strong customer service attitude
* Must be entering Junior year in HS.
* Prior experience working with children in a learning environment or as a Leader in Training preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Must be able to move quickly to keep up with youth.
* Must be able to remain alert and energetic for 8 hours or more
