Job Description

The Study Assistant will take on an administrative role fielding emails and phone calls from families of potential brain donors and will coordinate requests for medical records. The candidate will interact with the public, including those who would like to learn more about the Center and with outside researchers requesting study data.

The Study Assistant will exhibit leadership. The candidate will interact and coordinate between the clinical and pathology teams in the CTE Center, both at BU and at the VA.

The Study Assistant will coordinate and facilitate incoming brain donation cases. This person will interact with families, pathologists and others involved in brain donation.

The Study Assistant will set schedules for conferences and will ensure that deadlines are met and study benchmarks are met. This is both to meet the goals of the studies and to bring timely results to families of brain donors.

The Study Assistant should have experience working on multiple studies and be able to see that the guidelines and standards of the Center's protocols are upheld.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Communications or Health Sciences required. Science background preferred. MBA/MBA student preferred.
