Job Description

The Communications Specialist will provide technical and creative expertise for electronic and print communications for the Alumni Association at the School of Medicine. Responsibilities include designing and editing content on web site, designing and managing creative content for monthly E-Newsletter, and managing alumni data for all electronic communications. Administrative duties include triaging phone calls, ordering office supplies, and processing vendor invoices.

Required Skills

* BA/BS degree in related field
* One to two years of office experience
* Interest in alumni and student stewardship
* Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated technical skills (iModules, WordPress, Microsoft Office, database management)
* Ability to multitask, prioritize assigned duties and demonstrate initiative
* Ability to work independently (and harmoniously) in small groups, and work collaboratively with other school departments
* Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
