Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for the maintenance of medical electronic equipment offered by Boston Scientific. Services are predominantly provided for customers in hospitals, outpatient facilities and physician’s offices. You will be covering the French market with ideal location in Lyon or Marseille. Part of the European team, you will support the Capital Equipment devices of two divisions: Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Intervention

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform Installations, Troubleshooting, Preventative and Corrective Maintenance, Repairs and Upgrades.
  • Provide  high  level Technical  Support  to  external  customers  at  their location
  • Provide  onsite  training  to  the  customers
  • Develop  Service  technical  documentation if applicable          
  • Timely  and  professionally  handle field  service  calls  and  issues  arising  from  the  field  service  visits triage  with  field  applications  scientists  as  appropriate
  • Timely complete and submit all required paperwork as well ticket closure.
  • Communicate with  the  customer  to  ensure  satisfaction  and  implement any  necessary  corrective  actions
  • Interface with R&D, cross-functional teams, Marketing and Manufacturing to support new product development,-quality, -design and -release, forward production and repair.
  • Reporting of field activities

 

Experience and skills

  • Education level: Higher vocational level
  • Working experience: 10 years in medical devices (preferably in the cardiovascular field)
  • Technical background
  • Excellent knowledge of the French and English language
  • Previous successful experience with full autonomy and teamwork
  • Flexible attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a multi-cultural environment
  • Continues improvement attitude
  • High level service standards

 

  IMPORTANT:

 

This position requires 100% travelling with 70% France and 30% Europe

 

Location: Lyon or Marseille (ideally close to an airport)
