Job Description


A TAA (Therapy Awareness Advisor) is responsible for accelerating the adoption of WATCHMAN in the region/geography assigned through market development, driving patient awareness and education, enabling patient access.  The TAA will partner with the WATCHMAN Therapy Awareness Representatives to develop and execute a therapy awareness plan that is in alignment with the strategic priorities of Boston Scientific WATCHMAN division.


Advise a team of Therapy Awareness Representatives (TAR)

  • Provide strategic support and direction to US Therapy Awareness Team
  • Ensure TAR Team objectives are met through ongoing coaching and account analysis
  • Field Mentor and active participant in in-house training programs.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the region and help develop creative strategies to solve patient access challenges
  • Drive unit growth in the US through enabling patient access
  • Work with TAA’s and Marketing Team to develop new and innovate ways to engage patients
  • Drive patient engagement nationally through Patient Education Seminars

    Represent WATCHMAN Therapy Awareness Team at key meetings through the country

  • Develop presentations for regional and national sales meetings
  • Member of the WATCHMAN Therapy Awareness Advisory Board
  • Present at Advisory Boards, Physician Education Courses and Business Team Meetings as appropriate

    Increase referring physician and patient awareness of disease states and treatment options

  • Identify opportunities and develop new programs to enhance referring physician and patient awareness of disease states and treatment options
  • Monitor team performance and efficacy to achieve growth objectives

    Partner closely with Area Managers and Territory Managers in assigned geography

    Identify key referral networks for the WATCHMAN therapy - from Electrophysiologists and Interventional Cardiologists to Primary Care Physicians. Develop and enhance these relationships through therapy awareness activities, routine customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, procedural observation, trade show participation and problem resolution.

    Develop relationships with administrative hospital personnel (e.g. casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to gain knowledge on unique hospital business dynamics and to identify key decision makers.

    Educate physicians and AHPs on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations.


    · Bachelor’s degree and 10+ yr of successful sales and/or sales management experience

    · Self-driven and able to work independently

    · Must be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships

    · Past leadership experience

    · Excels in fast-paced, competitive environment

    · Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

    · 60-70% travel required

    · Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
