Operations Research Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Apply operations research, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling techniques to various problems for the Marine Corps and other DoD clients across a wide range of disciplines, including operations, readiness, maintenance, logistics, manpower, and finance. Apply expertise in quantitative and qualitative analyses, optimization, simulation, and process improvement to develop representations of real world capabilities that are mathematically rigorous, where possible. Provide information management, systems analysis, methodology development, presentation preparation, and report generation. Participate in the maintenance, modification, verification, and validation of simulations, models, and tools. Provide independent assessments of studies, analyses, reports, and cost estimates. Apply decision theory and portfolio analysis to strategic resourcing decisions and develop stochastic and deterministic models and simulations to support budgetary decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience as an operations research analyst, data analyst, or data scientist in academic or professional environments
* Experience with programming in VBA, R, Python, and MATLAB
* Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop mathematical models to support a variety of client problems
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

* BA or BS degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Economics, or another technical or quantitative field
