Purpose of the job

An interdisciplinary field of engineering that focuses on design, control, manage, monitor and evaluate complex engineering systems over their life cycles. Own, manage, control, optimise the System overall design in accordance with complex stakeholders i.e. customer demand, market demand, technology trends, internal processes, bids/project constraints as well as product strategy and roadmap.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead, develop, control and maintain System Architecture, System Requirement and overall System Design (including System Performance) against Customer Requirement and Product Requirement over multiple bids/projects, sites. Work with the Bids, Project and Engineering teams to ensure the optimal technical solution is deployed.
2. Manage, control and maintain Internal and External interface management and Interface Control Documents. Review Subsystem design, requirement, architecture and interfaces to be compliant with the overall System Requirement, System Architecture and System Design.
3. Support System Integration and Verification of the System Design and System Performance throughout the life cycle including Factory Acceptance Test and Field Test. Monitor, investigate and analyse System performance and System technical findings including evaluate and analyse System data for future improvements.
4. Provide System and Solution technical support and knowledge to other disciplines including Marketing team, Bids team and Advance Engineering team during the Bids and Market Introduction phases. Influence market and customer development. Mitigate System technical risks, align and optimise the proposed solution in accordance with the product strategy and roadmap. 15 %
5. Introduce new technologies, techniques or products: Develop new sustainable technologies and improve upon the existing ones in an effort to make all systems as optimal and advanced as possible. This can be motivated by the System Engineering, industry need, technology trends or customer requirements.

Qualifications

Education

- University degree in a Technical Discipline

Relevant experience required

- Minimum 5 years experiences in Railway Signalling is a must.
