A&P Technician - (Lead)-TUC00813

Description

The Lead A&P Technician position is designated for the Challenger program at theTucson Business Aircraft Service Center. The Lead A&P is responsible for coordinating workload, overtime and job assignments for team members assigned to the crew. The Lead is also responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise to assigned employees in order to promote acquisition of technical proficiency and troubleshooting problems. As a part of the Lead's daily activities, he/she will monitor day to day activities for assigned areas and report issues and risks to his/her immediate supervisor and provide verbal and written turnover reports indicating status of work in progress. Ensure that all tasks assigned are completed and documented in accordance with manufacturer's manuals or other FAA approved data. Must apply knowledge of the use and research of numerous airframe manuals.

The shift hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 1530 to 0000.

Qualifications

- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates required.
- Experience on business aircraft desired but not required.
- Perform repairs and modifications as required
- Perform only authorized work
- Promote safety
- Perform inspections as required by maintenance programs, modification and inspection packages
- Advise supervisor/lead of job status at all times
- Maintain good housekeeping habits
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned by supervisor/lead from time to time
- Perform assigned work to establish standards and estimates routinely
- Perform system functional tests as required by maintenance programs and logically diagnose malfunctions
- Must be able to understand and interpret prints
