Based in Edmonton, Alberta, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, management and oversight of all Commissioning Work and for preparation of all Commissioning documentation, records and Integration testing for the Edmonton Light Rail Transit System.

In your role you will:

- Conduct and complete all tests and inspections, including all Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Work, required by this Agreement and Good Industry Practice;
- Prepare and submit to the City and the Independent Certifier all Commissioning Certificates and copies of the applicable documentation, records and reports required to;
- Demonstrate to the Independent Certifier, the City and all applicable Governmental Authorities, that all applicable equipment, components, systems and sub-systems, and the fully Integrated System comply with the Project Requirements;
- Establish a baseline for comparing performance, determining deterioration over the applicable Design Service Life and assessing the sufficiency and performance of the Overall Maintenance Strategy and each Five Year Maintenance Plan;
- Demonstrate that the System is ready for, and has met all of the conditions precedent for, Service Commencement;
- Validate the technical performance of individual equipment, components, systems and sub-systems;
- Demonstrate Integration of the individual equipment, components, systems and sub-systems into the System;
- Demonstrate that all Commissioning test equipment has been properly calibrated and that such calibration is documented and traceable to the applicable standards;
- Validate the safety and security of the Infrastructure in accordance with the Safety and Security Certification Program;
- Confirm the System meets the RAM targets set out in the RAM Sub-Plan;
- Demonstrate that the Infrastructure is electromagnetically compatible with its environment and achieves emission and susceptibility targets set out in the EMC Control Sub-Plan;
- Demonstrate that the Stray Current emissions from the Infrastructure are compliant with the levels set out in the Stray Current Sub-Plan;
- Demonstrate that noise levels do not exceed the levels set out in the Noise Control Sub-Plan;
- Demonstrate that vibration levels do not exceed the levels set out in the Vibration Control Sub-Plan;
- Prepares/directs testing activities, e.g. documents, document binder, time tables, test areas, records, tools, etc;
- Conducts/leads safety, pre work brief and post work de-brief;
- Participates and supervises testing of the vehicle as well as system wide equipment;
- Ensures work is carried out according to local site safety rules;
- Implements and enforces HSE requirements on site with the support of HSE team representatives;
- Ensure team members have the proper credentials, training and supervision for the intended works;
- Writes fault reports whenever necessary;
- Reports progress to Work Package Responsible / Project Director;
- Ensure all testing data is adequately recorded in BT designated tool(s) (e.g.:Maximo, DOORS).


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold an Engineering Degree and you are registered or qualified to be registered as a professional engineer in your home jurisdiction;
- You cumulate a minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in commissioning of Light Rail Transit Systems and accepted by the City of Edmonton;
- You own experience in the Rail industry;
- You have excellent communications skills;
- You are Proficient in English;
